What does a first session with you look like?
After the first session, clients can expect that they are not alone in their struggles. I see you, hear you and I will be with you on your journey. I will enable clients to move forward with reaching their goals at their own pace. While working together, we will frequently monitor mood, thought processes, symptoms of depression/anxiety periodically. In addition to reviewing the treatment goals & objectives.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The treatment interventions I use with clients are cognitive behavioral therapy, task oriented therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and healing therapy. The tools I typically use are worksheet exercises based on the client’s needs and goals. This could include, breathing techniques, reflection exercises, and creating a genogram.
