What does a first session with you look like?
During our therapeutic partnership clients can expect to gain increased self-awareness, and aid in identifying patterns that contribute to positive changes in their lives, and how understanding their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors contribute to their overall well-being. I make every effort to be gentle with my approach while staying focused on following through on desired goals and outcomes.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and I strive to create a safe environment where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to take an active role in their healing. I draw on a range of evidence-based practices and tailor my approach. I am passionate about working with clients to develop their self-awareness and mindfulness, identifying patterns and beliefs that may be holding them back and cultivating new, more positive ways of thinking and behaving.
