What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am trained in various treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trauma Informed Care. I also have experience using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions.
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know you and what you're wanting to get out of therapy. We won't dive into anything too deeply, although it is important to be as open as possible about past experiences that have impacted you in order to identify goals for treatment.
