What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, I will have you take me on the journey through your life, leading up to the current situation/reason you decided to give therapy a try. I will ask you to tell me what goals you have with therapy. The treatment plan is the blueprint of how to help you achieve your goals and it will include things I will do for you and what you will do and how often we will meet and for how long we will meet
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy primarily combines components from client-centered, solution-focused, and psycho-educational. Each client is unique in their reasons for seeking services, and each client is unique in their healing journey as well. There is not a one-size-fits-all approach and a part of our work together is to understand what treatment methods are the most effective.
