What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Almaz Assefaw, DNP, PMHNP, FNP Almaz Assefaw is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner in Virginia with more than 21 years of experience in the medical field in both inpatient and outpatient care. She has a Doctoral degree in Nursing Practice. Almaz's goal is to build strong relationships with clients of all ages to help them with their mental health needs. She believes treatment decisions should be made in partnership with the client so that care is both patient-centered and holistic. Her passion is helping people get unstuck and move on with their lives. In her free time, Almaz enjoys hiking, walking, dancing, reading, and traveling.
