What does a first session with you look like?
You can expect us to review our rights and responsibilities at the first session. Discuss confidentiality. Review our attendance policy. Provide a brief summary of my treatment philosophy and perspective on termination. Examine presenting concerns and identify your treatment expectations.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use an assimilative integrative approach with Adlerian psychotherapy as the foundational theory and incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, behavioral therapy, systems theory interventions, and others as needed.
