What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Elise N. Jarvis, LMHC is a licensed clinician in RI who has provided clinical care since 2010. She received her Master's degree in Psychology and then continued her academic career earning an Advanced Counseling Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Rhode Island College. Her training has honed in on: trauma and recovery work, behavioral difficulties, self-injurious thoughts and behaviors, suicidality, parent-focused interventions, and coping skill and sensory implementation. Elise is integrative, being trained in several evidence-based treatment modalities; she employs a mindful, strength-based, goal-focused, and collaborative approach working with individuals and families.
