What does a first session with you look like?
You will be encouraged to speak freely - you can swear, cry or yell if you need to. This space and time is yours to have as you need it, though I will provide my honest feedback and gently guide our connections, to ensure we stay on track with your personal goals in mind. We will clarify your desires, fears and needs. I will always check in to ensure your comfort.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
As a team we will work together to sort through your experiences, beliefs, thoughts and behavioral patterns, in order to tailor goals and a plan for those goals, all based on your needs & personality. If it makes sense to give, and if you have emotional space and time to attend to it, I can provide tasks that can be completed in between sessions. If not, that's often OK too, we will plan to do what makes the best of your time, given your unique needs and schedule.
