What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Elizabeth (Beth) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 29 years experience working with diverse populations in a variety of mental health settings. Beth received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Old Dominion University and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore, MD. She has also received specialized training in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Beth has worked as a Director at a mental health organization, and has experience working with adolescents and young children in school, home, and residential settings. For the last eight years, she has worked as a Hospital Social Worker specializing in women's and children's services. Beth has also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Salisbury University where she taught Advanced Practice with Families to Masters-level Social Work students and mentored them in the field environment. Beth's entire career has been dedicated to working with families and children, and she believes that all individuals, couples, and families have strengths and experience challenges throughout the life cycle. Her goal is to partner with them during the most difficult times to help them find peace within themselves and to improve relationships with others.
