What does a first session with you look like?
After the first session, we'll both have a better idea of where therapy is headed. If you're overwhelmed knowing where to start, I can help you narrow down a map of where to go - whether it's tackling a current life stressor, clarifying a relationship, learning some emotion regulation skills, or deciding to take a leap and quit a job that makes you miserable!
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My clinical approach mixes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with other cognitive-behavioral therapies (like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness-based Therapy) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech in Seattle, WA. I have years of experience working with young adults and adults experiencing depression and anxiety.
