What does a first session with you look like?
The most fundamental part of therapy is the relationship, starting with a foundation of trust, safety, and a non-judgmental stance. Without this, we will likely have difficulty moving forward with much progress. In our early sessions, my goal is to work toward creating this safe space. From here, we can begin to work through any issues that may be keeping you stuck in unhealthy coping behaviors and/or relationship patterns.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I combine a client-centered approach with evidence-based treatment modalities. I am trained in EMDR and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCTS-I).
