The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a seasoned clinician in various settings, I understand the high level of stress being thrust upon people of all ages and the need to provide support in such difficult times.

Emily Rosenau is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years of experience assisting children, adolescents, and adults who arestruggling with substance abuse, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression to improve their coping skills. Also as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is also in a unique position to relate and assist others by providing unconditional acceptance. Emily earned herCertificate of Advanced Graduate Studies fromSalve Regina University. Throughout her professional career, she has worked extensively with children and adolescents who are struggling with school difficulties, behavioral difficulties, parent-child relational struggles, societal demands, and the foster care system. With her rich experience, Emily is able to support individuals throughout their numerous life transitions. When supporting adults and young adults, she begins by building a positive connection based on trust, and professional support. Emily utilizes cognitive behavioral (CBT) approaches techniques, as well mindfulness-based, and person-centered approaches. She hopes to be a positive support and safe haven for you to discuss your thoughts and feelings while working together in a positive, constructive manner.As a seasoned clinician in various settings, Emily understands the high level of stress that people of all ages experience.
