What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I aim to empower my clients by listening to and helping them make sense of their stories.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Emily is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a focus on treating trauma across the life span.
