What does a first session with you look like?

I take an integrative approach to therapy based on your unique needs. I strongly believe in treating the WHOLE person by addressing issues that not only impact your mental health but also your quality of life, such as sleep, nutrition and exercise. I utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Mindfulness, Walk & Talk Therapy and more. By equipping you with practical tools and knowledge, I can help you find your way back to wellness.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

In addition to offering traditional talk therapy, I offer Walk and Talk sessions. It is well proven that walking provides numerous benefits to our mind and body. It can increase endorphins, calm the nervous system by lowering cortisol levels, improve heart rate variability and help regulate blood pressure. Consistent exercise can also improve brain function, attention, memory and processing speed. Spending time outdoors adds to these benefits by allowing us to reconnect with our environment and stock up on Vitamin D and serotonin, which are essential to boosting our mood and energy levels.
