What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

I have been in the medical profession for over 15 years. I started as a medical assistant and then transitioned into Nursing where I have spent the majority of my time working as an Oncology Nurse at the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center. While I have enjoyed growing in my profession, Mental Health was always my passion. In 2011, I obtained my Master's in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University and 2 years later, my certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University.
