What does a first session with you look like?
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
As a therapist, I believe collaborative work is truly important and you can expect tasks to focus on between sessions. I aim to make the therapeutic process feel accepting, genuine, positive, interactive, and trusting. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches that include CBT, DBT, incorporation of meditation, mindfulness, assertiveness training, and mood management, as well as providing active listening, empathy and support throughout their healing journey.
