What is your style/approach to therapy?
My therapeutic style is eclectic. I use to practice my own techniques (Systemic Integrative Facilitation) with results after 3-4 sessions. SIF program uses several techniques that fit with the case and the current problem. SIF uses cognitive behavioral, narrative, conflict resolution and client-center techniques. To treat families and couples I usually proceed with the systemic-constructivist model.
What does a first session with you look like?
I have been a mental health counselor for almost 30 years, in Cuba, my country and in the USA. As a psychiatrist, I specialized in medication management, and individual, group, family and couples counseling. In USA I got license of Mental Health Counselor. Also I m Clinical supervisor by Florida State. I m working with Autism and other disabilities with children as Lead Analyst using ABA methods.
