The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Fritz Potter is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 23 years of experience working with children, single parents, families, veterans, and the homeless. From his learnings and experience, Fritz has helped clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, substance abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Fritz also counsels people who have experienced physical and emotional abuse. Fritz completed his first master's degree in Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma and his Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University. He is a Master s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Fritz was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1995. His counseling style is compassionate and kind with direction. Fritz believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and empathy, and does not believe in stigmatizing labels. His approach combines solution focused, cognitive-behavioral, emotional, humanistic, holistic, and sometimes spiritual therapies. Fritz Potter will adapt the dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. His compassion and empathy with his clients suffering, and his promotion of change through action, help his clients feel safe and understood, and relieves symptoms.
