What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Gavin is honored to be your choice for mental healthcare. Prior to obtaining licensure (LCSW), he acquired expertise in careers that include active duty military, metropolitan police officer, then title 1 classroom teacher. His undergraduate degree was from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Tx; then a graduate degree fromTexas A&M University with of focus on clinical social work. Gavin's treatment emphasis is: accurate assessment, then person-specific treatment to resolve life concerns (with very limited focus on labeling one with a psychiatric diagnosis). Among many, some treated concerns are: Anxiety, relationship difficulty, and improved life functioning. When not at work (which he LOVES), he revels in home care/landscaping, time with friends, classical guitar, and swimming.
