What does a first session with you look like?
The relationship between a client and their provider is one of the strongest predictors of success. Client should expect I will be authentic, down-to-earth and ready to meet them wherever they are.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize intervention such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing and a variety of trauma focused interventions, to help clients increase coping skills and emotional resilience. While there a many evidenced based interventions to assist in your healing journey, I believe there is nothing as important as a nurturing therapeutic presence and the capacity to connect with another human, while creating a safe, trusting relationship. Only then can someone feel seen, heard, and accepted.
