What is your style/approach to therapy?

I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am is trained in CBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, substance abuse recovery, mind-body relaxation, and cognitive restructuring with a specialization in trauma resolution and co-occurring disorders.

What does a first session with you look like?

My approach is augmented by previous experience in community-based mental health as well as outpatient and intensive outpatient substance abuse recovery. I also have been a student of martial arts for almost 2 decades and have been exposed to its teachings and discipline. These experiences contribute to a unique skill set and a multidimensional approach that recognizes the importance of the client, family, culture, and community in guiding a successful treatment.
