What does a first session with you look like?
After our sessions you can expect to feel better overall, however, you might experience more dreams and intrusive thoughts about those things in your life that you’re struggling with. The more we open the channels to what is causing you pain, you might experience some discomfort as we progress through the healing process. But by staying with therapy, and moving through the pain, you will begin to feel better and be able to function in your life better.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The treatment methods I primarily use are EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I also use an interpersonal relational approach with helping to identify relational patterns that may not be working for you.
