What does a first session with you look like?
My counseling style is open, transparent and supportive. I take a holistic approach to emotional and psychological healing and well-being, as well as a sensitivity to diversity and multiculturalism. Clients will feel encouraged and motivated to use the tools and strategies we discuss in therapy in their everyday lives.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize a client centered approach to develop trust and rapport with clients along with an integrative approach that includes narrative therapy, CBT and mindfulness practices based on the presenting issues of the client. I also use play therapy when working with children.
