What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. As a young adult, I understand the unique issues and conflicts that arise during this transitional period of life, including, but not limited to, conflict within relationships, establishing a career, building your own independence, and identity exploration.

Grace specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, major life transitions, and family conflict. Grace is passionate about helping adolescents, young adults, and adults address their unique challenges and live healthier and more fulfilled lives. Grace completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania. Grace's approach to therapy is holistic and relational, utilizing multiple treatment approaches including mindfulness, psychodynamic frameworks, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and attachment-based therapy. Grace is person-centered and works with the client to develop the best course of treatment. We all struggle and get overwhelmed throughout the journey of life.
