What does a first session with you look like?
Parents can feel hopeless and exhausted during this developmental stage due to the compassion fatigue absorbed through their caregiver role. Therapy can be scary and/or stigmatized as something only needed for crazy people. On the contrary, my space is for all who want to live life with optimal mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I will provide an empathic, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where my clients and I can build a strong therapeutic partnership.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Client-centered therapy truly involves placing myself where my client is and allowing them to direct me and be the expert of their own lives. I help them dive into their inner experiences, emphasizing their concerns, care and interests to create change and improvement. I also use an integrative method, allowing me to blend elements from different approaches paying careful attention to the unique strengths and needs of my clients.
