What do you think is the biggest barrier today for people seeking care?
I believe that the biggest barrier for people seeking care is apprehension that the therapist can help them. The client desires autonomy and the therapist has a duty to provide the tools to assist the client to make positive choices. A good therapist listens with empathy and validates the clients concerns. The client desires a safe space to discuss their challenges and receive helpful feedback. A diverse population of people desire therapists who are genuine in treating them with respect and maintaining trust.

Work History
I started Commitment to Hope counseling services in 2012. Currently I have 12 additional therapists who have a vast array of skills to help our clients. I have over 25 years in the helping profession as well as supervisory skills. Together our team can help those with anxiety, depression, mood disorder, relationship issues and family conflict to name a few of many issues that good people like yourself face everyday. At Commitment to Hope, we understand your concerns and stresses that relate to home, school or work. Many individuals feel as though they have no means of help with dealing with very real struggles. However, these same clients leave with the tools that empower them with the ability to not only cope with obstacles but to overcome them as well.
