What does a first session with you look like?
In my work, I have been described as a warm, supportive, caring, and compassionate good listener with a good sense of humor. I am here to help you understand the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place that is free of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by seeking help. Seeking help can feel very intimating, and you might feel stuck and as if you have no direction. Through our work together, you will receive unconditional support and a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings and understand how they affect your mood, energy, and daily functioning.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I love using workbooks and worksheets and recommending books for bibliotherapy and podcasts. My treatment orientation is focused on CBT, client-centered therapy, as well as solution-focused.
