What does a first session with you look like?
The first session with Heather will involve an intake in which she will ask several questions in order to get to know you and your situation better. From there you will create a treatment plan together that will outline goals and ways to meet those goals moving forward.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Operating from a client-centered approach, Heather is compassionate and trauma-focused. She utilizes play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, and has received her CCATP certification (Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional). She operates from a solution-focused approach when working with individuals on personal growth.
