What does a first session with you look like?
I view therapy as a collaboration between therapist and client with the client being the expert on themselves and the therapist as an authentic source of guidance, support, and empowerment. You can expect sessions to include lots of active listening followed by me offering some interpretation and feedback that I hope will help us figure out your next steps towards growth and healing.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have several years of experience utilizing a number of approaches and intervention styles and often integrate them together to create a customized experience for my clients' needs. I strive to offer both modalities that allow for self-expression and exploration as well as practical skills that can be implemented behaviorally to improve quality of life.
