What does a first session with you look like?
You can expect me to listen to you non judgementally and validate your feeling while being pushed out of your comfort zone to challenge your thought patterns. Change is hard, but we can work towards a healthier mindset one step at a time. Your mind, body and spirit are connected and finding a balance between the three is possible. If you are up for the hard work, I will be there along your journey to help support you along the way!
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The modalities I focus on are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. I utilize handouts, art exercises, videos and online resources to help clients review what was discussed during sessions.
