What does a first session with you look like?
The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I understand the challenges that come with change, transitions, and growth. I want to support you through your journey!
What should we know about your experiences and background?
Jacque is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado with over 10 years of experience in the helping professions and working in mental health. Jacque has provided clinical assessment and therapeutic services to various populations supporting the Pueblo community. She has a specialization in Trauma as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as in behavioral management. Jacque has lived and worked overseas with the U.S. Air Force (4 years) and has experience working with the military population. She is currently working on her dissertation for her Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in performance emphasizing performance, leadership, and optimizing the human experience.She completed her Master of Science in Counseling at the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a minor in Philosophy from the University of Maryland University College. Jacque utilizes a strengths-based approach to evaluate and determine the best therapeutic modality to support clients in reaching their therapeutic goals. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral strategies, behavioral modification approaches, emotionally focused therapies, solution-focused, and family therapies; always maintaining an open-minded, strengths-based, and comprehensive approach to support individuals, couples, and families to reach their desired therapeutic goals.
