What does a first session with you look like?
When you leave sessions, I hope that you feel validated and have a greater sense of awareness. I also aim to equip you with practical tools and strategies that you can use in your everyday life. These tools are evidenced based and effective.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Solution - Focused therapies within sessions. This means that I take a look at how underlying thoughts and messages influence behaviors and emotions. I work collaboratively with clients to discuss evidence-based strategies that fit them. I additionally operate from a trauma-focused perspective. All of this means that I look at my clients holistically and I explored the past because I believe it informs the present.
