What does a first session with you look like?
We will work together as a team after establishing your therapy goals to enable you to move forward. In our sessions, you will learn to identify how your emotions are connected to your thoughts and behaviors and how to can create change in yourself to become the better version of yourself. You can expect to learn techniques to manage your depression and anxiety and how to move forward with your life and manage stressors that come your way.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize the Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) and Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (TF-CBT) in addition to several others to teach you skills: Motivational interviewing, ACT, and DBT .
