What does a first session with you look like?

We will work together to identify the underlying issues that are contributing to the problem that you would like to address. This often includes exploring your thoughts and emotions and how they relate to each other, and in turn your behaviors. Each person and the way that they experience life is unique, therefore your treatment will be too. The goal is to empower you to develop your own understanding and set of skills so that you can tackle your symptoms and problems head on and in a healthy manner.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy as well as solution focused therapy. I also take a person centered approach recognizing that you are the expert on your own life. I offer a non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
