Our first session is a longer meeting. We will explore your physical, mental and emotional health. We will discuss medication options if needed. If medication management is desired, we will usually be able to meet for shorter follow-up appointments. Together we can identify your challenges, strengths, and goals. If medication can assist you, we will make a plan. If you are struggling, please reach out.

I am a nurse practitioner specially trained in psychiatry and mental health (PMHNP). In our current medical system, PMHNPs and psychiatrists mostly help people with diagnosing mental illness or distress and then prescribing and managing medications if needed. I provide therapy services but I encourage patients to add further counseling and support as needed. I use evidence based diagnostic methods, guidelines, and treatments. Therapeutic approaches include Solutions Focused (SFBT), Strength Based, and Trauma informed, among others depending on the individual. I believe in individualized care. We will explore what treatments work best for you as an individual.
