What does a first session with you look like?
As your therapist, my primary goal is to support you when you feel stuck and encourage your progress to a healthier mindset. It can be overwhelming to speak with someone about the most vulnerable moments of your life. I specialize in a person-centered approach that focuses on your strengths and the ways you want to grow.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use therapeutic approaches, such as; Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy and I believe the best approach focuses on person-centered language where the person comes before the situation. Part, if not all, of my approach starts with who you are as a person. Everyone has challenges and things they go through. Sometimes we attach those challenges to our identity and who we are instead of an action we did. Regardless of the situation or challenge you want to process, the therapeutic space first addresses you; as a person.
