What does a first session with you look like?
My counseling style is warm and engaging, with a focus on the therapeutic relationship needed for our work together to be meaningful and effective. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, no matter what your background is or the details of your story. I seek to understand who you are and what you need so I can help you achieve your goals and have the life you want.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy and client-centered counseling. I strongly believe that it is important to look at how you think and feel, in addition to how you behave. For lasting change to occur and to set you up for continued success, it is vital to address your inner world as well as your external world. I hope to help you better understand your experience and equip you with the tools to navigate it more effectively so you feel confident that you can overcome any challenge that comes your way.
