What does a first session with you look like?

I work with my clients on learning how to regulate their emotions and develop healthier thought patterns through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based interventions, mindfulness and trauma-focused therapy. I strive to provide a safe space, that is non-judgmental, caring and strengths-based for my clients to process their emotions, thoughts and behaviors, and past traumatic experiences. In between sessions often encourage clients to practice the skills learned in session or provide homework to help with reflecting on what was discussed/processed in session.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I utilize cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) based, mindfulness and trauma-focused therapy including trauma-focused Cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) interventions.
