What does a first session with you look like?

In our first session, we will dedicate time to getting to know each other and building a level of trust. You can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself and share your concerns, goals, and any challenges you may be facing. This initial session serves as an opportunity for us to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore your background, and determine the best approach to address your unique needs. As we continue our therapeutic journey together, you can expect a tailored treatment plan that aligns with your goals and preferences. Each session is designed to foster self-reflection and growth. We will work together to identify your strengths and build upon them, while also addressing any areas of difficulty or barriers that may arise.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

In therapy, my goal is to empower you on your journey toward personal growth. I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment methods, such as Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based therapy. CBT focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that may contribute to emotional distress. By gaining awareness of these thought patterns, we work together to develop more positive and realistic ways of thinking, leading to healthier emotions and behaviors. Through mindfulness practices, we cultivate present-moment awareness, allowing us to observe and accept our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Mindfulness helps develop a greater sense of self-awareness, compassion, and the ability to respond skillfully to life's challenges.
