What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Jihene is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Supervisor in the State of Georgia. She received her Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA and earned her Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. Jihene is also a National Certified Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is also a Certified EMDR provider. Jihene has nearly 13 years of experience in the mental health arena to include clinical work, supervision, collegiate teaching, as well as training and development. Her clinical experience includes working with college students, young adults, adults, and couples. As well as multicultural families to address their mental health concerns, behavioral issues, social skills. Jihene guides her clients in developing coping skills and setting their personal goals while working towards change, growth, building their resilience and self-awareness.
