What does a first session with you look like?

Authenticity Self-disclosure is a tricky thing for us counselors - however, when working with me, it is clear that you are working with a counselor who has not only studied everything necessary to do this work but has also obtained a great deal of personal knowledge having gone through many of the things that bring my clients in to see me.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the teachings of Alfred Adler, a pioneer in the field of psychology. I am guided by the belief that every person possesses a natural inclination towards growth, connection, and social interest. From this perspective, I incorporate a host of therapeutic interventions rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Existential Therapy. I enjoy using a host of media to share and explore new information including videos, handouts, journaling, experiential activities, etc.
