What does a first session with you look like?
My goal for each session is that the person experiences the relief and sense of calm which comes with deeper insight and new awareness of skills and possibilities " I am not lost or stuck after all ! " That feeling that a new pathway is opening up....
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Application of "active listening skills" - results in the feeling for many " thius is the first time in a loong time I really felt heard...I felt free to be me! Relaxation methods - to practice on a daily basis with focus on RELEASE.... Letting go of fixed ideeas and worries blocking access to our creative energies and hopes. Psychotherapy: special methods for opening up to and releasing powerful emotions ( shame and guilt) which bind us to the past. Gestalt Therapy- relieving the painful past in a safe, secure way - bringing about the rewarding feeling "at last- free to be the real me - without fear" Journaling - specific guidance in a 4 step method Review of each person's exercise patterns with focus on changes in energy endurance and improvement in the amount and quality of sleep
