What does a first session with you look like?
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I aim to help patients understand mental health conditions and their treatments. Let's work together to reduce the stigma and find suitable treatments for underlying issues. Mental health is just as important as physical health, seeking treatment is a brave step towards better well-being.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
As a PMHNP, I have discovered that incorporating various techniques can greatly aid my patients in overcoming their mental health issues. I employ a combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology to help alleviate their conditions. I always promote the acceptance of their symptoms, and in doing so, I am able to highlight that despite our distinct differences, we are all fundamentally similar.
