Spending most of my career as a therapist working with geriatric patients has given me a unique perspective. I have seen a lot of people try to avoid negative thoughts and emotions by staying busy and distracting themselves. The problem with this is that life eventually slows you down and you are unable to use those distractions. This is typically when people are hit hard by anxiety, panic, and depression. My therapeutic approach focuses on healing rather than just coping, avoiding, and deflecting. I work for my patients to heal, so that when the day inevitably comes that slows you down or stops you completely, you can enjoy the stillness and sit in peace. While we will discuss coping skills some but our overall goal will befor you to find peace, happiness, and contentment.

I always take a collaborative approach that will work best for what the patient is presenting. There are times when one approach may not work, I will pivot, and continue to pivot until finding the right therapeutic method. My goal is long-term happiness, not just for my patients to be surviving day-to-day.
