What does a first session with you look like?
You can expect to leave our sessions with a sense that you felt like you were being heard and cared for when talking about your concerns. You will also receive honest feedback that is communicated in a constructive and respectful way.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I provide individual therapy to adults (18 and over). I use a variety of therapy methods and tools, using a person-centered approach. The choice of therapy methods is based on an assessment of your individual needs and goals. This includes, but is not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I also work off an empowerment model, use active listening, and provide non-judgmental support. I may also recommend you to complete therapeutic assignments outside of therapy sessions, to help you get closer to your treatment goals.
