As mentioned above, I am trained in systems therapy, cognitive behavioral, and motivational therapies, and I encourage the practice of mindfulness and meditation. I also utilize appropriate workbooks and bibliotherapy. In addition, I have had trauma training and have worked with substance use disorders for many years.
Usually, by the third session, you can expect to feel more at ease. The initial issue has been identified and discussed, so now we will focus on meeting the goals you have set to make the changes you want to make.. As the weeks pass, a partnership will evolve.
