What does a first session with you look like?

After our first session together, you may feel overwhelmed, relieved or even ambivalent. Don't worry, these feelings are a natural progression throughout therapy. Most importantly, you will feel validated, heard and empowered.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I use various modalities in my sessions, depending on the client and their unique needs. I pride myself in having client's become active partners in their treatment and provide feedback and encouragement as needed. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a structured approach that allows for us to address how your thoughts and feelings are connected to your behaviors. Using this approach, I will encourage you to be open to various interventions such as role playing, challenging irrational thoughts to change them to adaptive healthy thoughts to address your concerns as they arise during our sessions.
