What does a first session with you look like?
Growing up, mental health didn’t exist in my family or community. Now that I am wiser, I know it was always there but overlooked, especially in minority communities. I am here to assist you not only get through those trying times in life that we all go through but also to let you know that you are not alone in this journey. I will challenge you to become the best version of yourself by providing you with the tools and confidence to face yourself, others and have those difficult conversations.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a variety of treatment modalities to help you conquer your goals such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Patient-Centered and Solution-Focused Therapy. The goal is to have you leave every session one step closer in your wellness journey.
