What is your style/approach to therapy?

EMDR is a trauma treatment intended to help you feel unstuck from the grip of negative thoughts or past events. We work to identify what things in your life are survival skills or protectors that may not be helping you be the version of yourself you would like to see. We work gently and with compassion to help undo harmful negative beliefs about yourself and build up positive and constructive ones in their place.

What does a first session with you look like?

I defer to your preference for how structured the first sessions are. Typically clients know what they want to tell me and so mostly I listen to you in the first sessions. We will spend some time as we get to know each other talking through what you want to accomplish in therapy and what brought you to where you are today.
