What does a first session with you look like?
I have a passion for helping others find healing and growth in their lives and in their relationships with others.My hope is that you will gain insight into yourself and others, as well as learn skills, develop a plan, and if necessary, heal wounds, so you can move forward. I would also hope that you feel understood ,supported ,and accepted, free of judgement that you might feel outside of therapy .
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a holistic approach in order to provide support that looks at the whole person, not just their mental health needs. My holistic approach includes techniques and components of cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, and humanistic therapies combined with motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and other interventions as needed to address each client's concerns individually. I also use Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy . I will work with you to develop your plan and what will work for you.
